Septic Tank Pumping Services Belton, SC
Are you searching for septic tank pumping near me? Septic Systems are an important sewage/wastewater treatment option for homeowners in South Carolina. There are more than 1,000,000 onsite sewage disposal systems currently being used in South Carolina.
Local health departments issue thousands of permits per year for new systems. In any given year as much as 10% of septic systems will experience a failure. The most common failures usually occur from a lack of maintenance such as regularly pumping out the tank.
Septic systems are a widely used method of waste water treatment and it's why septic systems can also be referred to as “onsite wastewater treatment systems”.
A properly running septic system provides your household with environmentally friendly disposal of your wastewater where sewers are not available, or would be far too expensive to install. Your septic tank is an integral system in the operation of your home or building.
Failing to maintain your septic system can be a very expensive mistake, with septic system replacements costing upwards of $15,000 – $30,000 or more. Pumping out your septic tank of all the collected solids every 3-5 years is the best way to keep your system operating trouble-free for many years.
Prime Septic is a septic services company that specializes in septic tank pumping. We are based out of Belton, SC and serving Anderson County and the surrounding area. Whether you need septic tank pumping as part of your regular system maintenance, or because of a septic system emergency, Prime Septic can help!
Septic Tank Pumping And Maintenance Are Your Responsibility
One of the major drawbacks to a septic system is that you can’t just forget about them (although it's easy when it's out of sight!). The homeowner or property owner is completely responsible for the safe and clean operation of their septic system. This includes regular maintenance like septic tank pumping.
Become familiar with your septic system and the locations of important parts of the system. You should know the locations of your septic tanks, your clean-outs, the distribution box, and your leach field. On older properties that have switched hands several times, it's not uncommon to lose track of where the septic tank and field are located. We can provide septic tank location services if that's the case.
Common Septic Tank Sizes
There are a variety of septic tank sizes throughout Belton, SC with 600 gallons to 1500 gallons being the most common size range of septic tanks we are called to pump out. The more bathrooms your home has, the more capacity your tank should have. We operate a 2500 gallon septic truck and can offer septic tank pumping for tanks of all sizes.
When Should Septic Tank Pumping Be Done?
It’s a good idea to at least inspect your tank once a year. It’s simple to inspect the tank yourself if you know it’s location and the lid is exposed, or you can have a septic tank technician from Prime Septic check the levels of liquids and solids for you. You should periodically check your septic drain field for any odors or water pooling on the surface as well.
Generally, septic tank pumping should happen every 3-5 years depending on use. There are other factors and indicators that might want to make you pump your septic tank out at more frequent intervals.
If you have a large family, a large home, attached suites, your system back ups frequently, or anything else that would put additional usage on your septic system, then you should consider increasing septic tank pumping frequency as suggested by your tank technician.
If you practice good water conservation, and don’t flush harmful items (grease, baby or flushable wipes, and female hygiene products) down your drains, then your septic system can go further between septic tank pumping, but it’s best to let a professional make that determination after inspecting your tank.
How Much Does Septic Tank Pumping Cost?
The cost for our septic tank pumping service can vary depending on the distance we need to travel, the size of your tank, and whether or not we'll have to dig up your lid or locate your system. The disposal costs can fluctuate depending on which dump site is closest to your location.
Our quotes for septic tank pumping include trucking both ways, pumping of ALL tank solids and liquid, quick visual inspection of the tank and it's condition, and disposing of your sewage at the proper facility. You'll find our pricing is very competitive and our service is always unmatched!
How To Get Ready For Septic Tank Pumping
If you're getting ready to have us come out to pump out your septic tank there are a few things you can do to make the job easier and ensure everything goes smoothly.
#1. Please know the location of your septic tank and drain field. This can help save time and additional charges. We do offer tank location services but it will be added to your bill. If you want to save money, know the location of your system so you can show our driver OR if you won't be home at least leave a note or other indicator as to where the tank is.
#2. If you don't have septic tank risers we ask that you please dig up the septic lids if you are able. We do offer digging if required but it is something we charge for. You will save money if you have the lids dug up prior to our arrival.
#3. Please move any vehicles, RV's, boats, or trailers that might be on the driveway and blocking easy access to your septic tanks. The closer we can get our truck to your tank the better. We want to avoid driving on your lawn or any soft, grassy areas.
#4. Please let us know ahead of time if there are soft areas on your property near the septic tank or any other challenges or obstacles such as bridges, landscaping, or underground piping that we need to be aware of. Septic trucks are heavy, and even heavier when loaded. We don't want to cause any damage to your property.

What Do Our Clients Say About Us...?
Great folks! When it’s time again to pump our septic tank, Prime Septic will be the first and only call.
Top notch company from start to finish! Our church needed to have a riser and lid installed, as well as a pump-out. Cody sure was a hard worker trying to find the underground septic tank lid, which was about four feet deep! He kept at it till he found it. Measurements were taken, and the new riser and lid ordered and installed. There's no way to miss the location of the tank now...the new lid looks like a manhole cover! It's great! Their prices were the best around! Communication with both Michelle and Cody was great! Thank you, Prime Septic!
First a Thanks to Cody for being so fast with the Repairs. Called it in late the night before and he had it pumped first thing the next morning. Very professional company. Justin had me scheduled ASAP. I hope not to need them again for a while, but I highly recommend Prime Septic!
Everyone was polite and professional. Very little wait time to have septic tank pumped. Highly recommend.
Zach did a great job pumping our septic tank. He called before to give us a heads up that he’d be on his way, he answered all of our questions, gave us an honest opinion of how the tank looked, and offered some recommendations. We will definitely use them again!
Septic tank pump.respectful of my property and answered my questions. Responded to my call in timely manner highly recommend.
Our septic system had filled with water from all the rain we've had recently, I called to see if they could come out and pump the septic before it overflowed and sure enough I was told they could be out same day before noon. The pumping took less than an hour, the customer service was excellent, and I will be using them again for my plumbing/septic needs.
Had my septic system pumped out. Prime did a fantastic job. They were on time and the whole process took less that an hour. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again!!
We had our septic tank back up. It was as scary and frustrating as all unexpected home mishaps are. We called one company who couldn't come out for almost 30 hours. Another that came out promptly for an estimate, but the estimate was $887. And then we called Prime. They told us exactly what it would cost over the phone ($425 for us), and scheduled us for first thing the next morning (about 18 hours from the call). They called us before 9am to let us know they were on their way. They dug up the tank and pumped it and recovered it and were done in about 1 hour. They answered all of our questions about our system and were so sweet and professional. We will 100% be using them in the future (definitely not waiting as long next time) and recommending them to everyone!
Great service! I called on Monday and they were at my house to pump our septic tank on Tuesday. The guys that came to my house were quick and efficient. Will most definitely be recommending them to friends and family.
